The Wellington knows how important your health is and is happy to help you design the level of care that fits your needs! Our community is designed to help people live independently and be an involved participant in the care they receive.
Potential residents will meet with our friendly nursing staff to help determine a personalized plan of care. Every resident has different needs to be met and each plan of care is individualized to meet those needs. There is a nurse on duty every day and a nurse on call every evening and night in case questions arise.
We have resident education on a variety of health care topics, provided by our nursing staff. The residents are involved in providing topics of education which are of interest and need to them. Family and friends are welcome to participate in these educational activities.
Nursing services include:
- Medication Management
- Medications administration
- Wellness checks
- Physician appointment management
- Regular update to plan of care as needs change
- Assistance with adaptive equipment under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The Wellington is proud to be a partner in the health of its residents. At a recent medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic, a resident name Lois was told by her cardiologist "to keep up the good work at the Wellington. That even with her heart and lung problems, she has an amazing 20% better function level than most 75 year olds!" The doctor encouraged her to continue to go to exercise class and wheel her friend Adeline back from the dining room.
